Sappi Paper host Geographics
On October 29th, Sappi Paper hosted a seminar on Geographics printers, demonstrating how coating techniques can produce a lifelike feel and smell. For this to occur, a varnish is needed. The varnish is produced by plates which give the paper its feel.
The samples we felt at the seminar were highly realistic. The most notable sample was an alligator fold out. While the alligator may be on paper, the image’s texture had a true to life feeling.
Sappi is truly utilizing a tool in marketing called multi-sensory display. We hope that they continue to create innovative products for years to come.
